Robert Frank comes off as a non-artist, which is as it should be. Have a clear look at what someone who looks like an artist has produced. Often there will be only a facade and behind that a gaping emptyness.
Also, it’s important to be where the action is and make friends. But go to the center after you have produced at least something. Reminds me of Nachtwey at the beginning of the documentary War Photographer.
